University punishes professor and daughter for academic misconduct

Liu Mouhua (not his real name), deputy dean of Chongqing University Graduate School, was issued a serious warning by the Communist Party of China and removed from his post for using his research to help his daughter, according to the university's notice issued on 10 May, 2025. The national scholarship as well as other honors and awards given to the daughter Liu Mouqiao (not her real name), will be revoked in accordance with relevant procedures.
