PETITION

We, citizens of Ukraine, and its many friends and supporters, urge the U.S. President and Congress to enact, without delay, the "Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity for Ukrainians Act" (REPO for Ukrainians Act).  By using confiscated Russian sovereign assets to make Russia pay for the damage and injury it caused in Ukraine, cease its use of force against Ukraine, and withdraw its troops from within Ukraine's recognized boundaries, this act would serve as a powerful countermeasure to Russia's serious violations of international law.

The transfer of assets to recipients requires the utmost transparency, accountability, and control to ensure that the recipients receive what is due to them.   We urge the President, in coordinating the establishment of the international compensation mechanism with foreign partners including Ukraine, to provide for distribution of the funds directly to the end users.
