Webometrics ranking published (January 2023 edition 2023.0.beta)
A total of more than 31,000 HEIs worldwide were evaluated in the web space this time.
Universities are evaluated according to three indicators:
VISIBILITY - the number of external sources containing backlinks to the institution's web pages - calculated on the basis of Ahrefs and Majestic tools - 50%;
TRANSPARENCY - the number of citations by the institution's top authors according to Google Scholar Citations - 10%;
EXCELLENCE - number of articles by the institution's researchers in the top 10% most cited in 27 disciplines as calculated by Scimago - 40%. Data for the five-year period: 2017-2021
